THE CHILLER

Arrived at Great Adventure at 9:00 am june 07, to my surprise the park was opened all the way up to the Chiller.By 9:40 my daughter and I were sitting in the back seat of the Robin train,(batman side was not opened yet)and few seconds later the operator said 3,2 ,1 launch robin and bang your shot out of the station like a rocket.
Does The Chiller live up to the hype? YES it does,it is by far the best shuttle coaster on the east coast,not only it is fast but I was quite surprised by it's smoothness (a little banging around but not what we expected).
About 12:15pm we got in line again this time to ride the Batman side.The line for the ride was way out side the queue but the wait was only 1hr.( great adventure had their stuff together today) The Batman side was less intense then the Robin side but well worth the wait ( my daughter likes this side better because it's smoother,I however like both sides). The ride duration is about 40 seconds but an incredible 40 seconds.
The themeing is great inside and out,The Chiller is a must ride for all coaster lovers.

This amazing new coaster consists of two tracks, the blue Batman (TM) and the red Robin (TM) tracks. Each track is different from the other and both tracks feature different elements. Both tracks us Linear Induction Motor Electromagnets, better known as LIM's, to launch the trains out of the station at 65 mph. The coaster experience begins when thrillseekers pass through Mr. Freeze's (TM) hideout. After being launched out of the station the red "Robin" (TM) track sends riders through a 105 ft. tall cobra roll. As the "Robin" (TM) train races through a cobra roll, the blue "Batman (TM) train flies 139 ft. up in the air and flips riders upside down and then sends them head first back to the ground. The two trains then meet up and go through duel 360 degree heart-line rolls. Next, the trains race up a 200 ft. tall tower and then slip back down towards the ground at 65 mph. and go through the whole circuit backwards. The trains hit the brakes just before they enter the station. This amazing new coaster is expected to open at Six Flags Great Adventure in mid -May. This will be one coaster experience you won't want to miss.
